Concrete removal · cost guide

What does concrete removal cost?

Concrete is priced by what it takes to break it, load it and truck it away. Here is what changes that, from a small walkway to a full driveway or foundation.

What moves the price

Six things
we look at.

We walk the site with you, look at each of these and give you a written quote. Estimates are free.

  1. Area

The more square feet of driveway, patio or slab, the more breaking and hauling. Larger jobs usually cost less per square foot.

  2. Thickness and rebar

A thin walkway breaks fast. Thick slabs, foundations and heavily reinforced concrete take bigger breakers and more time.

  3. Access

Open driveways let a skid steer and truck pull right up. Backyards behind narrow gates mean smaller machines and more trips.

  4. Haul-off

Concrete is heavy. The amount of material decides how many truckloads it takes to clear the site.

  5. What happens next

If the area needs grading or preparing for a new pour, landscaping or a build, we can include that in the quote.

  6. Permits

Some cities require a permit for driveway or flatwork removal, especially where it meets the sidewalk or street. We check yours.

Can you remove just part of a driveway or patio?

Yes. We saw-cut a clean line so the part that stays is left neat and ready for the new work.

Do you remove asphalt too?

Yes, asphalt driveways and paths are broken up and hauled away the same way.

How fast can you start?

We can usually start within 48 hours of your go-ahead. Permitted work starts once the permit is issued.
