House demolition

House demolition, down to a clean pad.

Single- and two-story homes, detached garages, ADUs and outbuildings taken down with excavators and hauled off on our own trucks. Foundations come out and the lot gets graded when the next build needs it.

How a teardown runs

Standing
to graded.

One crew takes it down, breaks out the foundation, hauls the debris and grades the lot.

  1. Walk-through and quote

Free on-site estimate. We walk the structure and the lot with you and give you a straight quote.

  2. Permit and utilities

A demolition permit is typically required, and cities want the utilities disconnected first. We walk you through what yours asks for.

  3. Teardown

Excavators take the structure down. A grapple sorts the debris as it is loaded.

  4. Foundation out

Slab and foundations are broken out when the next build needs a clean pad.

  5. Hauled and graded

Debris goes out in our own roll-offs. The lot is left graded and ready for the next build.

Do you take out the foundation too?

Yes, when the next build needs a clean pad. Slab and foundations are broken out with hydraulic breakers and hauled off with the rest of the debris.

Do you take down garages, ADUs and smaller structures?

Yes. Detached garages, ADUs, outbuildings, sheds and decks. We also take down one side of a shared wall or an attached garage while the structure next to it stays sound.

Do I need a permit to demolish a house?

A demolition permit is typically required. What a city asks for varies. Utility disconnects, an air district job number and a recycling plan are common. See our permit notes for Santa Clara, San Mateo, Redwood City, Palo Alto and San Jose, or call and we will walk you through yours.

Who hauls the debris?

We do. We own our trucks and roll-offs, so the teardown and the haul-off run on one schedule with one crew.

We hired them to completely clear out and demolish a trailer, and from beginning to end, they were absolutely incredible.
