Most cities want a permit before a pool comes out. We handle permitted pool removals and walk you through what your city asks for.
Utilities capped
Gas and electrical to the pool are capped and removed before the shell is touched.
Shell broken out
The concrete shell and rebar are broken out, loaded and hauled off on our own trucks.
Filled and graded
The area is filled back in and graded flat.

- Do I need a permit to remove a pool?
In most cities, yes. San Jose requires a building permit before a pool or spa is removed, and Santa Clara requires a grading permit. Rules change from city to city, so we check yours and walk you through it. We handle permitted pool removals on the Peninsula and in the South Bay.
- What happens to the gas and electrical lines?
They are capped and removed as part of the job, before the shell is broken out.
- What is left when you are done?
Dirt, graded flat. The concrete shell and rebar are broken out and hauled off, and the area is filled back in. If you plan to build on that spot later, tell us at the walk-through. Some cities ask for an engineer's compaction plan when the area will be built on.
- What does it cost, and how soon can you start?
It depends on the pool, the access and what your city requires, so we price it on site. Estimates are free. We can usually start within 48 hours of your go-ahead. On permitted work the start date follows the permit.
