What we do in San Mateo

The crew from
next door.

Foster City and San Mateo share a border, so your job is close to home for us. Anderson walks it, writes the quote and runs the crew.

  • Interior demolition

Kitchens, baths, closets and whole floors down to the studs. A customer in neighboring Hillsborough had us take out a built-in closet.

  • House demolition

Houses, detached garages and ADUs taken down, foundations out, lot graded.

  • Concrete removal

Driveways, patios, walkways and slabs broken out and trucked away.

  • Pool removal

Shell and rebar out, gas and electrical capped, yard filled back in. We handle permitted pool removals on the Peninsula.

Permits in San Mateo

What the city
asks for.

These points come from the City of San Mateo's Building Permits and Demolition Requirements pages.

From the City of San Mateo

  • Building permits are required to build, enlarge, alter, remove, demolish or repair a structure in the City of San Mateo.
  • A Construction and Demolition Recycling and Waste Reduction Plan and a security deposit are a condition of the building permit.
  • The deposit is returned after the required diversion rate is documented at final inspection.
  • Demolition permit applicants must complete the city's PCBs Screening Assessment Form.
  • A building constructed or remodeled between 1950 and 1980 is treated as high priority for PCBs unless it is wood-framed or a single-family residence.
  • For questions on a specific project, the city lists a permit technician at (650) 522-7172.

How we help

  • At the walk-through we tell you what paperwork your job is likely to need.
  • We haul the debris on our own trucks, so one crew knows where every load went.
  • We can usually start within 48 hours of your go-ahead. On permitted work the start date follows the permit.

Checked against the city's website in October 2026. Rules and forms change, so confirm with the city before you plan around them.
