From the City of Sunnyvale
- A demolition permit is required to remove an entire building or structure, before any demolition starts.
- The sewer line must be capped with an approved fitting, and backflow removal permit numbers go on the demolition plans.
- Weight tickets for everything taken off site are uploaded to the city's Green Halo waste tracking system.
- Commercial projects, and residential projects removing 50% or more of an exterior wall, must divert 65% of non-hazardous material from the landfill.
